Defiant Field Farmstead is home to mixed flock of defiant chickens. They roam the woods, fields, and sometimes the flower beds, eating bugs, taking dust baths, and taunting the dogs. We bring in birds in from other sources to maintain genetic diversity, but a portion of our flock is hatched right here on the farm by our own broody hens, creating a flock uniquely suited to our location.  In season, they are raised on forage and organic garden scraps supplemented with certified organic feed.

We occasionally raise small herds of pastured pork. Our livestock is sold on the hoof and custom butchered to your specifications. We focus on growing happy, healthy animals that thrive on fresh pasture. We raise a mix of breeds with special emphasis on heritage lines especially the American Guinea Hog. We offer pork shares through our online store WHEN AVAILABLE.
